William hand
paints the ornamentation, adding a boarder or backing field as necessary.
No sprayed-on patterns or decals are used. Traditional colors for Celtictype
harp designs are generally our choice. Other colors are available and you may want to provide
a specific color swatch. We do recommend that you avoid rainbow combinations
and surreal colors as our experience has not been the best with these combinations.
Frenchstyle designs were usually painted
in gold and are quoted assuming that William will use gold paint. When
painting Celtic knots, William adds shade and highlight so that the knots
appear woven. The animal designs and zoomorphics are painted more realistically
with the bodies rounded out and features added in appropriate colors.
